Questions/concerns:
- In regards to baptism being a saving agent you are
teaching a lie.
- How do I know if I am saved from hour to
hour?
- If your view is correct then the death of Jesus on the
cross was not enough to save me - hope you get saved.
- Not everyone in this world will be saved, in fact the
majority will not be saved because they have rejected the true gospel,
and that is that one must repent and believe in the blood of Christ.
John 3:15 "That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal
life." I don't see a word in there about being baptized to
have eternal life!
- Is the blood of Jesus alone sufficient to save?

Thank you for your
concern. One who is not willing to obey God will not be saved. (Romans
2:7-9, 6:16; II Thessalonians 1:8-9; Hebrews 3:18, 5:9; I Peter 4:17)
Would you disagree with this? Peter said in Acts 5:29, "We ought to obey
God rather than men." The man that first labeled baptism a work
excluding it from obedience dealt the world a great catastrophe. Jesus
said in Mark 16:16, "He who believes and is baptized will be saved."
My friend, I suggest that you obey Jesus, if
you do not, how can you claim him as your savior?
How do I know I am saved? I John 1:7-10
says:
But if we walk in the light as He is
in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus
Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. 8 If we say that we have
no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we
confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and
to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Is confession a work? Is it necessary
for forgiveness for those sins of which we are aware?
I know I am saved because I walk in the
light. I follow God's word, not the teachings of men.
This verse says that cleansing is conditioned on our walking in the
light. I John was written to Christians, not alien sinners. One
certainly does not need to be baptized every time he sins. One does,
however, need to confess his sins as he learns of them and seeks
forgiveness.
If we are to have forgiveness of sins
it is only through the blood of Christ. To receive the forgiveness that
God in His grace (He gave His Son) has provided we must be walking in the
light.
Baptism places us in Christ, Galatians
3:27. Baptism places us in the body, I Corinthians 12:13, which is the
Church, Ephesians 1:22-23. Can one be saved out of Christ?
The Hebrew writer tells us,
5:8-9:
though He was a Son,
yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered.
And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation
to all who obey Him.
Can one be
saved who does not obey God? Can
one be saved out of Christ?
If you
consider baptism a work, why isn't repentance a work? Throwing your
argument back at you, John 3:15-16 doesn't
mention repentance.
