Jesus once asked the leaders of the Jews if the baptism of John the was from heaven or men. They would not answer that simple question about authority. Authority in religion is from only two sources. It is from heaven or it is from man. We have the Bible given by the Holy Spirit (from heaven), and we have the teaching of men. As is this site, the links on this page are maintained by those determined to teach and practice only those things which come from heaven. You may find a few disagreements; this is because each one is accountable for himself to God. Speaking of the wicked woman Jezebel, Jesus says: "I will kill her children with death, and all the churches shall know that I am He who searches the minds and hearts. And I will give to each one of you according to your works." (Rev. 2:23) Since it is the hearts and minds that are searched, the attitude we have concerning our authority is very crucial to our salvation and to unity. Unity must be achieved through a love of truth. Unity based on any other premise is vain and profits nothing in true service to God. Because the only authority recognized is that from heaven, we do not have man made manuals, catechisms, decrees, church doctrines or creeds. Knowing that unity can only come from the highest standard possible, we always go to the Bible to find out what is right. When we understand it correctly, we will be in unity. Until then, each one prepares to meet his God. The thoughts and presentations on these links will help all who are seeking truth to understand God's word correctly.
